Can DMV Hair Extensions' Signature brand of extensions be colored, tone, or bleach my hair extensions? Since our Hair Extensions are made of 100% human hair, they can be dyed a darker color or toned by a professional hair colorist, who has had previous experience with coloring hair extensions. If you do decide to get them dyed, we recommend you cut off a piece of the weft to be tester first prior to dyeing/toning the full set to ensure that you are satisfied with the results.
We strongly do not recommend getting hair extensions colored a lighter shade, as it will require them to be bleached. Bleaching is a harmful chemical process that can alter the quality of your set, and even damage it.
If you are in-between shades, we recommend going for the lighter color and taking your hair extensions to a professional hair colorist to have them dye your set a darker shade in order to achieve an overall match. Similarly, if you have highlights, we recommend going for a shade that matches the lightest highlight in your hair, and having a professional hair colorist add in low-lights to your set. Another option would be to purchase 3 colors and them all together, this with give you the perfect high-lights.
